Offering ski gear from as little as €1.99 to the most expensive item being just €29.00, we had a look at the LIDL skiwear range 2018 which is due to hit the shelves this week.
Ski holidays might not be the cheapest, but we reckon it’s always money well spent. Whether you are heading away with the family, a group of friends or on a romantic break, you will never regret a ski holiday. However, the cost of one can be significant, especially with a couple of rugrats in tow, so it’s great to identify a couple of areas where you can save a few bob.
How to Save Money on Your Ski Holiday
Ski gear can get particularly pricey. Key pieces such as a good ski jacket, merino wool baselayers and good socks are definitely worth the investment. But not every item in your kit bag needs to be top of the range. Although we recommend opting for the trusted brands like Columbia, Patagonia etc for the big stuff like ski jackets and salopettes if you can stretch to it, the smaller items like baselayers in Lidl are both great and great value.
So with the range due to hit the shelves this Thursday, we thought there was no better time to take a closer look at what they are selling.
At just €29.99 we probably wouldn’t recommend this jacket for the higher resorts where temperatures plummet. However, it is windproof and water-repellent. Has a lift pass pocket, goggles pocket, headphone cable feed and zip pockets, sleeve with thumb hole and underarm ventilation. So, basically, it will do the job for spring skiing. It’s available in sizes 10 – 18 (Ladies’) and 32 – 40 (Men’s).
Take a closer look.
