This is the terrifying footage of a hang-glider who is forced to cling on for dear life after the pilot forgot to attach him to the craft.

The video shows photographer Chris Gursky as he struggles to grip the pilot and the craft for more than two minutes after descending from a 4,000 ft mountain ledge. The pilot is seen trying to steer the craft to safety as he tries to grab a hold of Gurksy.

“My first time Hang Gliding turned into a near-death experience as my safety harness was never hooked to the Glider,” Gursky wrote after he posted the footage on YouTube. “For 2 Min. 14 seconds I had to hang on for my life! The landing was a rough one, but I lived to tell the story.”

Gursky tore his left bicep from the strain of hanging on for his life, and, upon landing, he severely fractured his wrist which required immediate surgery.
