Fancy a chance at racing some of the top mountain bikers in the world? Then sign up to this year’s Red Bull Foxhunt in Rostrevor.
One of Ireland’s most exhilarating downhill mountain biking events the Red Bull Foxhunt will return to Rostrevor, Co. Down on 7 October.
The sixth edition of the mass participation downhill mountain bike event will see three elite foxes; Loïc Bruni, Gee Atherton and Colin Ross take their places at the summit of Slieve Martin to start the chase.
Over 450 riders are expected to turn out, to attempt to beat the three pursuing foxes to the finish line. They will have their work cut out for them as they race the 2015 downhill World Champion, Loïc Bruni, two-time downhill World Champion, Gee Atherton and three-time Foxhunt winner Colin Ross.
Riders of all abilities will take on 3.5km of downhill trails descending through open-mountain moorland, rock gardens and forest trails in a high-speed dash for the finish line.
If you fancy your chances and want a crack at claiming the prestigious title, registration for the Foxhunt opens on 29 August at 12 noon here.
