Endurance athlete Eoin Keith strode through the finish line of the UTMB Oman race this weekend, securing a first place win in his age group.

With a total distance of 137km and a total elevation gain of 7,800m, the UTMB Oman race, which took place from 29 November to 1 December, traverses some of the most beautiful and harsh landscapes of Arabia. Temperatures can sky-rocket to 25°C during the day, and then plummet to below freezing at night. Of the over 300 competitors that began the race, only half of the runners were able to make it to the finish line.

Keith ran across the finish in a time of 25 hours, 29 minutes, and 25 seconds, winning first place in his age group.
