This towering mountain range is the ideal location for both adventure seekers and lovers of culture. The Dolomites showcase some of the best natural beauty that Italy has to offer and 18 of the many impressive peaks rise to over 10,000 ft (3,050 m). As well as towering peaks the Dolomites are covered in beautiful Alpine grasslands and forests.
The culture in the Dolomites is rich and varied. With three different cultures coming together there is no shortage of interesting activities and cuisine to experience.
The Dolomite people are known for their beautiful and unique handicrafts. They even have specialized schools to teach these intricate skills. So keep an eye out for some stunning memorabilia during your time at the Dolomites.
Aside from the Dolomites artistic side, the region is also renowned for its amazing food, wine and spirits. Many of the villages in the Dolomites even have their own wineries and distilleries. Always remember to ask for the best local drinks and dishes to fully immerse yourself in the culture of the Dolomites.
