Galz Gone Wild, the creators of the popular outdoor community for women, is excited to announce the launch of their new community, Mams Gone Wild. Mams Gone Wild aims to create a supportive and social community for mothers and their kids to explore the outdoors together and foster a love for nature.
Founder of Galz Gone Wild and now Mams Gone Wild, Mel McDermot, says. “As mothers, we know how important it is to spend time with our little ones and make unforgettable memories. Mams Gone Wild wants to offer a space where mothers can come together, share their experiences, and create lasting relationships while enjoying the great outdoors. Our community is all about raising each other up and being raised in nature.”
As a new mom to son Cuán, Mel understands that motherhood is a unique journey for everyone. Mel wants to explore this next chapter of motherhood together with this women’s outdoor adventure community Galz Gone Wild she’s grown since 2017. “Many Galz Gone Wild members have been with us since we began in 2017. Some of them are now journeying into motherhood themselves. Creating a community for other mams and their kids to experience this connection in a safe and supportive way feels like an organic next chapter, both for me and our community.”
The Mams Gone Wild community is open to all mothers and their children, regardless of their outdoor experience or fitness level. “We believe that everyone can benefit from spending time in nature and that being in nature is good for our physical and mental health.”
The monthly events include hikes, walks, beach days, bike rides, and much more. These events are all about having fun and bonding with other moms and their kids while exploring the beauty of nature.
Join Mams Gone Wild today and start exploring the great outdoors with other like-minded mothers and their kids.
Mel Mc Dermott founded women’s outdoor adventure community Galz Gone Wild in 2017. Connecting women with nature, the outdoors, themselves and one another through monthly hikes, events, trips and expeditions.
As a new Mother to her son Cuán in September, she found that her experience in the outdoors became a lot slower paced. Instead of hiking big mountains and long distances, she began sharing her love of nature with her son in her local forests and woodland trails. She believes fostering his relationship with nature in his early years is the bedrock for cultivating future stewards of our environment.
Mams Gone Wild will offer an affordable monthly or yearly membership which will give you access to a whole host of different free activities; walks, hikes, camping, beach days, bike rides, coffee meets, park and play and much more. Mams Gone Wild plans to have Ambassadors in each region who will plan, submit and host events for their communities. Mel says: “For now we will start with Dublin and Wicklow and grow and learn from there.”
Membership will give you access to free monthly events which will include mam and baby hikes, walks, beach days, bike rides, coffee mornings, mam-only hikes, and much more. These events are all about having fun and bonding with other mams and their kids while exploring the beauty of nature.
