Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism (IAAT) are holding their conference on 21 and 22 November 2023 in Castleknock, Co Dublin. Day 1:

Day 1 of the conferenceĀ  (Tues 22 November) will offer delegates exciting local adventure activity options that showcase the world-class experiences available in Dublin. Options include rafting on the Liffey, hiking and cruising Howth, and a Dublin Mountains adventure. Lunch will be included in all options before reconvening at the conference HQ, The Castleknock Hotel. Following a B2B speed networking session, a Showcase will highlight the best of what Fingal has to offer. There will also be live entertainment in the evening.

Day 2:

The second day (Wednesday 22 November) will feature a series of brilliant insights and inspiration from industry leaders through talks and panel discussions. The Conference theme is ‘A Force of Nature’, reflecting pride in the Irish landscape and our role in protecting it. The final schedule will be updated on their website shortly.

Who is speaking

Wednesday 22 November is jam-packed with engaging panel discussions and keynote speakers. Some highlights include:

Adventurnomics with Economist, writer and journalist David McWilliams.

Panel discussion titled The International View with Jean-Yves LaPereyre (President, European Confederation for Outdoor Employers / EC-OE), Gergana Nikolova (Regional Director, Adventure Travel Trade Association / ATTA), and Alberto Bichi (Executive Director, European Platform for Sports Innovation / EPSI)

A panel discussion titled Tourism Leaders on the Road Ahead with Alice Mansergh (CEO, Tourism Northern Ireland), John McGrillen (CEO, Tourism Northern Ireland), Orla Carroll (Director Product Development, FƔilte Ireland), Shane Young (Chair, IAAT and Director, Killary Adventure).

The day also includes updates from IAAT on key issues and plans for 2024, as well as discussions on the activity sector and marketing technology.

Lunch is included.
