The Irish Sailing Association has moved its annual Cruising Conference due to the large number of sailors keen to attend the event in Cork. New seats have now been released

The venue for the Irish Sailing Association's Cruising Conference 2017 on February 18 2017 has been changed ue to the the Clayton Hotel City Centre, on Lapps Quay in Cork due to overwhelming demand.

Seats have been released to a waiting list of delegates and additional seating is now available.

A spokesperson from the ISA says, "The delegate enthusiasm for the conference and all the speakers is fantastic. The goal of this conference is to bring cruising sailors together to share knowledge and be inspired to venture out and explore the wonderful coastline Ireland has to offer."

S
peakers include Ballymaloe chef Rachel Allen talking about the kind of food available along Ireland’s Atlantic coast, from Cork to Donegal. There'll also be presentations from the RNLI (and how to avoid them at sea), the latest research from Irish Lights, stories from a woman-over-board, and information around predicting the weather, unusual tides, and tales on surviving a round-the-world cruising trip.

For Saturday, the themes will be food, safety and an understanding of the sea.

The event is sponsored by Union Chandlery.

Tickets for entry cost as little as €10 for ISA members.
