Meet Ireland’s ice milers – the toughest swimmers on the planet

The inaugural World Ice Swimming Championship took place in Murmansk, Russia, on 20 March 2015. According to the International Ice Swimming Association, to qualify as an ice swim, water temperatures must be lower than 5°C. On this occasion however, the water was closer to 0°C.
