Kayaker breaks record for circumnavigation of Ireland

When Mick O’Meara set out for his second 930-mile circumnavigation of Ireland by sea kayak, setting a new record was not at the forefront of his mind. The adventurer from Waterford was met with miserable and sometimes treacherous weather, but his main goals were achieved: to prove to himself he could do it, and inspire others along the way.
